Akira 2009-2022 🤍 Sadly, Akira passed away this week, her body just couldn’t keep up with her spirit.

We knew this day would finally come and we tried to make sure that Akira got to do something she loved everyday. This video was from a few weeks ago during a new adventure. Akira was walking like a champ so we let her lead the way and see where we ended up. As you can see she eventually got tired and needed a lift back to the car!

Akira was my best friend and she’s been with me since she was 10 weeks old. We’ve lived in 3 different countries, travelled through Europe, and she helped rehabilitate her sister, Zana, after we adopted her. When times were hard Akira was always there to share her love and lift our spirits.

Thank you to everyone that shared information that helped
make Akira’s life as comfortable as possible during the past few years.

We will never get over the death of Akira, but we will learn to live with it. They say dogs are not our whole life, but make our lives whole. Akira was both 🤍
