Our elected leaders should reflect us. On #NationalRunForOfficeDay, take a look in the mirror 🪞 and ask: wait, should I run for office?! 🧐 Don’t sleep on local politics. The city councilmembers, school board officials, utility commissioners, and county clerks are some of the most powerful elected officials in the country — including on climate! ☀️ Gen-Z and Millennials are the largest populations in the country, but are drastically underrepresented in elected office at every level. Same goes for women and people of color. If your elected officials don’t represent the people in your community, something’s got to give.
