Two years into studying film production in college, @tiffstery decided to go find her mother’s estranged biological family. Her mother’s relationship with her parents had been severed at a young age, and Hsiung’s family rarely spoke of their past. “All I had with me were two names on a napkin,” she said. Her documentary, “Sing Me a Lullaby,” captures the investigation of her mother’s origin story and paints a portrait of how being separated from her family shaped her mother’s life. Watch the film at the link in our bio.
