The critically endangered lemur leaf frog, like many other amphibian species, has seen its numbers decline as the result of habitat loss and chytridiomycosis, the disease caused by amphibian chytrid fungus. @zooatlanta, where this photo was taken, has been helping to save this species from extinction through their captive breeding program, which has been running since 2001. You can help protect frog species where you live by keeping your yard free of pesticides and fertilizers that run off into local waterways.
