If we could weigh all the mammals on the planet, we would find that 96 percent are now made up of humans and farmed animals” he explains in the January Issue of #VogueItalia. “As the good farming practice of field rotation teaches us, seeking balance with nature is worthwhile in the long run. And, in terms of conservation, it pays off. But establishing new protected areas is not enough: it is now clear that in order to reverse the trend of biodiversity loss we need to rethink the foundation of our production systems, starting with food production and trade, making them fully sustainable.
