Extra love 💕 for Meg, since she’s been living on her own. She’s healthy and happy and enjoys the extra attention she gets. Many of you have asked why we don’t put her with another lion. Well, it’s just not that simple. Lions, especially ones of Meg’s age, aren’t just accepting of other lions. In fact trying to matchmake can have psychological consequences such as severe depression not to mention the risks of injury or death, should a fight break out which is likely. It’s extremely stressful for all involved including the human bystanders. Besides we have no suitable candidates at the sanctuary and have no intention of getting more lions.
