Photo by Robbie Shone @shonephoto / Uncle Ali waits patiently outside the gate of the tomb of the Nubian King Tantamani (Tawentamani) at El Kurru. The tomb is completely decorated with hieroglyphic inscriptions and amazing images of the pharaoh and the gods. Our time was almost up, as the allocated two-hour visit inside these ancient tombs had come to an end. It was such an honor and a privilege to see these ancient burial chambers with my own eyes and have the opportunity to document them.
