Julio Torres’s hair functions as a mood ring. When he got melanoma a few years ago, he dyed it from white back to its natural brown, because, he recalls thinking, “blond me can’t handle this.” It was sunset orange when Michael Schulman met him one day in the dead of January. “For such a big chunk of my comedy career, I was very into the idea of ice and diamonds and silver,” Torres said. “And now I’m feeling a little warmer.
