I love California and spent a large portion of my life living there. The country’s highest taxes combined with tough lockdowns this year have destroyed countless small and medium businesses that paid taxes. Now, the middle class in California is a lot smaller. That means taxes will have to go up even more over the next couple of years. How are people going to afford to live there? Sadly, I predict a decline in property values and a mass exodus. There has to be a way to keep people safe and working at the same time because the virus is already endemic (always present), and we can’t be on lockdown for years. In the meantime, stressing over things that you don’t have any control over is a waste of time. Put your energy into something you can control… Like where you live?
