Aside from humans, gelada baboons are considered to be one of the world’s most terrestrial primate species. Living in the high mountain meadows of Ethiopia, these monkeys are grazers, spending most of their day sitting down, plucking herbs and grasses to eat. At night, geladas will climb up steep, rocky cliffs and select a ledge to sleep on, huddled together with other members of the troop until morning.
