We got quite emotional as I don’t think we have processed fully what happened a year ago when Bodhi arrived 6 weeks earlier then expected with complications. “This week a year ago was the first week of having you out of NICU in an apartment close to the hospital so we could still go for checkups and tests. We were so overjoyed to have you in our arms healthy, safe and without syringes poking you. When we were taking you out of NICU ...We bathed you for the first time and you so didn’t like it! 😬 Then came the proud moment of parents when they are putting on the cutest “Go Home” outfit and it was quite funny! As you were premature all your clothes were sooo huge that the nurses at the NICU had to tape your first outfit so it would stay on you. 🤣 You fitted in my bra in between your milk bar, there was no need for a baby sling. 😆 We stayed awake day and night just to watch over you and to make sure you are ok. Seeing you feeling safe, relaxed and with the most precious smile was a medicine for us all.
