If you’re planning to get married next year, this is the time to look for a dress as most bridal boutiques require at least 6 month turnaround time.⁠ ⁠ Many brides understandably want to have their loved ones with them when trying on dresses the first time but going to your initial appointment by yourself can be very efficient and eye opening. Yes, it’s good to receive immediate feedback from your bridal crew but when you have the appointment all to yourself, you’ll most likely be able to try on more dresses and really think about what style you’re after. Remember that you’ll have a consultant with you during the appointment and a good consultant is honest, makes suggestions on which dresses suit your body shape and gives tips regarding your desired wedding look.⁠ ⁠ I recommend emailing or calling the boutique in advance and ask whether they allow you to take pictures. During your private appointment at Indiebride, you can take as many pictures and videos as you like. I often help brides who visit alone and take pictures and videos for them. When leaving our showroom, you’ll have a shortlist of dresses you like the most to show to your bridal crew. You can even make an evening out of it!
