In case you didn’t know, a Blue Moon refers to the second full moon in one calendar month, and I photographed this one two weeks ago on Oct 31, just before sunrise as it set over the trees after our first snowfall. Since the water in the pond was still well above freezing, lovely mist rose from it on this cold morning, creating a wonderful atmospheric shot. - Let me know if you think I should add this new image to my Walden Pond Collection in my online gallery (link in bio). My holiday sale is on there right now. Walden Pond is just five miles from where I live, and documenting nature there though the seasons has been a long term personal project. Whats amazing is that even after many years of going there, I can still come across scenes that are completely different than I’ve ever seen before, like this one. I find it inspirational.
