And what do you think he uses them for? You will see when the female arrives – he turns and uses them to brush her face as she examines him. Biologists don’t really know why female birds-of-paradise like this sort of stimulation, but its all part of elaborate courtship rituals that evolved through the process of sexual selection in these remarkable birds.
