Trump’s advisers described him as in complete denial that he would have to leave the White House in January and said he refused to abandon his baseless accusation that Democrats stole victory from him.⁣

In a statement issued while he was still on the course at Trump National Golf Club, Trump said Biden was trying to “falsely pose” as the winner.⁣

The White House declared a “lid” at 3:59 p.m., indicating that President Trump had no intentions of appearing in public today to make a statement about his loss, according to our correspondent, Michael D. Shear. ⁣

But, at 4:53p.m., Trump Tweeted: “I WON THE ELECTION, GOT 71,000,000 LEGAL VOTES.”⁣
