Some of you wanted to see more climbing/training tips on my account so here we go✌️
This might be obvious and nothing new for you but let's still start with the basics.
There are 2 things you have to keep in mind when you want to improve in something no matter if it's climbing, another sport or any other skill.
⬇️
1. Consistency
Yes consistency is key! You have to give your body and muscles some time to get used to new movements and the best way to do that is to practice them on a regular basis. I understand that some of you are busy and don't have time to go climbing all the time but if you go climbing 2 or 3 days in a row because it fits into your schedule at that time and then you don't climb again for 2 or 3 weeks it's a lot less effective than if you can fit in a climbing session regularly once a week. It doesn't have to be a long one! Especially when you just started climbing it is important not to leave too much time between the sessions so your body doesn't forget how to move on the wall😄
⬇️
2. Rest (during and between sessions)
Resting is just as important as the exercise in order to get better in a sport.
Its not only resting your body and sore muscles but also your mind and makes it possible to be fully concentrated again when you get back to working out.
If you don't like to just sit around and do nothing on a day off you can still do an active rest day by going for a run, a walk, go hiking or do a different sport. But try to keep the intensity low because if this activity makes you even more tired than the actual training you can obviously not call it a real rest day😅
