We all have been stuck at home and stripped of distractions and it’s become much easier to see what’s important and what’s worth fighting for. Back in May, I walked in the #BlackLivesMatter protests as a human being hungry for equality and wanting change. If I was back in Poland this past week, I would walk in #StrajkKobiet protests with my Polish sisters as a woman sick of male politicians deciding what’s best for her⚡️ After being away for 5 months, I made sure to fly back home today in time to vote 🇺🇸 because it’s best way to see the change. If you’re American, I please please urge you to #vote today or tomorrow. Note: Polish women hit the streets after Poland’s constitutional tribunal announced abortions in instances where a foetus is diagnosed with a serious and irreversible birth defect will now be illegal. According to Amnesty International, banning abortion doesn’t stop it, just makes it less safe and illegal. 1/3 of maternal deaths worldwide come from illegal abortions. Underprivileged women who can’t afford to travel for a procedure are at much higher risk. Please send some solidarity vibes to the Polish women as they fights for their reproductive rights. And vote!
