The Teton Range is part of the Middle Rocky Mountains in the western United States. The range formed nearly six million years ago. It rises abruptly on the eastern side in Wyoming and more steadily on the western side near Idaho. Gigantic glaciers formed many U-shaped canyons in the range that visitors hike in today.
