I’ve never experienced a more ferocious landscape. The wind withers yours skin & ravages the body like it does every flattened & broken structure on the island. Often we see the sunshine as some kind of respite in these environments, but the truth is that in the Kurilsthe fog, heavy rain and ultimately dreary weather is what makes these places even remotely livable.
