We hold on to regret, resentment, and we put up walls. Some self medicate with drugs, alcohol, or abuse food to mask the pain. A lot of people inflict pain on themselves so they can forget emotional pain and focus on physical pain. But it never goes away we just continue to hold it and carry it day after day.  _ Imagine your holding a rope pulling away from you and your holding on so tight your hand is in pain and bleeding. What if I told you holding on sometimes causes more pain than letting go. Would that convince you to take the steps to heal? In order to be grateful for your past you have to let it go and learn from it. Forgive the people who hurt you, forgive yourself, stop blaming, you can’t change the past. Once you find a way to heal you can then start to find the lessons and I promise you’ll one day feel grateful for what you’ve been through.  _ In this moment nothing from my past holds me. I’m mentally and emotionally free, I’m grateful for the mistakes and lessons. I wouldn’t be here in a space of helping so many others without that life experience.
