We as a sport have had to prove time and time again that we are working towards a cleaner sport and we finally were moving in a good direction with the help of honest people in positions of power. At this time, I do not have any answers as to “how” we can help this situation, or if that is even possible as athletes and members of USAW. However, I do know that we are fighting this. We are at risk from being removed from the Olympics. And that is something myself and every other clean athlete in this sport never wants to see. There is also talk of our qualifying procedures for Tokyo 2020* being completely changed. As someone who has never and will never touch performance enhancing drugs, having EVERYTHING taken away by those who don’t share the same morals and choose to be dishonest is not something I will just stand back and watch unfold. If I get any further information on how as members we can help this fight, I will share here. Clean athletes in this sport exist & we do not deserve to be punished.
