I usually carve out October and November as my “Superbowl Season” for climbing. I tell people that it would take an act of god to keep me off the rocks during these months. But this year there is one thing that I am prioritizing over climbing: getting people out to vote! I believe there has never been a more important election. Climate change and the future of democracy are on the ballot and voting is our sharpest tool.

Given the good climbing season I know that some of you have procrastinated making a plan, so please join me tonight at 5pm PST. I will be hosting an Instagram live Q&A on the @patagonia handle with Justin Kwasa from the League of Conservation Voters @lcvoters. We will discuss last minute strategies for making sure you get your vote in and that it is counted. As climbers, we know that sending depends on preparation and trying hard. Let’s bring that mentality to the ballot box.
