In this Greenwich Village family home, @gideonmendelson blends glam with kid-friendly details, creating a perfect harmony. "In the dining room, we used a racetrack-shaped dining table, which has kid-friendly corners. We specified fibers that are easy to clean—I would never put something easily stained, like a linen or cotton rug, in a child’s room. In the playroom, we used a vinyl wallcovering that you can wipe with a sponge," says Mendelson of the child-proofed spaces. In the playroom, the sofa by Avery Boardman can fold out into a bed, the stools from CF Modern double as side tables, the ceiling is covered in a wallpaper by Zoffany, the wallcovering is by Koroseal, the rug is from West Elm, and the pendant and brass chair are both from CB2.
