If you really want to educate someone on a potentially complicated subject, do it like they do it in church, or preschool, or prison: Keep it simple. Volume. Rocker. Concave. Rails. Tail. Outline…Every surfer gets familiarized with those terms pretty quickly in their journey. Some even get to the point where they actually understand the function of each. But very few can articulate that knowledge to others. Don’t feel bad, we have world-class boardbuilder (and overkill neutralizer) Jon Pyzel here to provide a primer on the ‘Anatomy of a Surfboard.’ (Fins not included.)
