Did someone say snack? As the fall comes and goes in #Alaska, brown bears have been going through a process called hyperphagia - an overwhelming urge to eat as much as possible to prepare for winter. Fattening up is a matter of life and death for these chubby cubbies. The bears that pack on the most pounds are the bears most likely to survive the dark, cold months ahead.
