The legendary #MaxFactor the man who coined the term “Make Up” was born yesterday in 1877. I was lucky enough to visit with #donelledadigan Max Factor history expert and Founder of The @hollywoodmuseum which resides in his original Art Deco building smack dab in the center of Tinseltown. Did I mention it also happens to be one of my favorite places on the planet?! We talked all things Beauty in the Golden age, perused artifacts belonging to many of my personal icons like #marilynmonroe and #jeanharlow and of course the legacy she is passionate keeping alive for future generation of beauty fans everywhere! We are currently featuring many of Max’s important innovations at the @makeupmuseumofficial NYC in our premiere exhibition #pinkjungle Makeup in 1950s’ America.
