The story follows four South Korean women who’s lives intersect as they navigate everyday day life in modern day Seoul. You are dropped into the center of each woman’s unique world as they bump up against the realities of impossible beauty standards, ruthless social hierarchies, after-hours room salons and of course K-Pop Mania. It’s a fascinating and enlightening read that expanded my understanding of Korean Culture and their deeply ingrained beauty practices so much.
