Walking around the city you'd see [his] small rats on the sides of buildings 6" high.There was an excitement around the city at that time around Banksy.'⠀ .⠀ Available for private sale, this work was bought directly from the curator of the Severnshed exhibition in Bristol in 2000. Until now, this work has never been moved from the Bristolian owner's living room wall.⠀ .⠀ The artist originally made the work with a different stencil, namely the iconic dog listening to the gramophone with a bazooka. Changing his mind, he then overpainted with the current image and background - but parts of the underlying design remain if you look closely.
