I like the curiosity of trying new things and learning, I like chasing emotions and discovering what they mean. But that same curiosity is what has lead to some poor decisions and some heartbreaks. • Searching, risking, and letting yourself be vulnerable to chances is absolutely terrifying. The outcome is unpredictable. It is a gamble. And because of the failed risks, I find myself building a wall. A protective barrier around my heart to keep me safe. That wall is my biggest fear. It keeps me from risking. It keeps me from searching. It pulls me back, leaving me on my own. • • I love taking risks. I love jumping all in. It scares me. But I know it’s worth it because the risks that are rewarded are what makes it easier to smile. It’s what makes me feel comfortable around my friends.
