Good morning from the girls 🦆The farm is waking up, the air is crisp and my toes are sore from walking through the gravel barefoot. Today I woke up before the sun. My first thought was, how amazing, I can catchup on work before the house starts to move. But then I remembered how much I want to detach from the notion of always “catching up”, and I poured a cup of tea, picked up Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar, and read for 15 min as the sun came up. Haven’t done that in a while, and today was a sweet reminder of how important it is to take even a few minutes for ourselves everyday.
