Here’s Morgan Faulkner, Hurricane Laura, South Padre Island, Texas, August 26th. “The morning started out with some long period forerunners and by mid afternoon the swell really showed up,” Faulkner said. “Waves breaking about a half mile or more from shore a little past the end of Brazos Santiago Pass in South Padre Island where my friends and I towed in for a few hours. Was pretty choppy, which really made it challenging to get in great positioning -- but we definitely gave it a solid go and got some big ones. Been awhile since Texas has had any coverage outside of the wave pool.
