My heart was beating out of my chest and I said in a loud voice, “Lennox, you can’t do that! You scared me!” I mean, I know I reacted because I was startled and woken up from a deep sleep, but I also wish I wouldn’t have gotten upset. He said, “Sorrrrrrry Mommmmmmy...” and of course I instantly felt bad. Kids are so resilient. He most likely remembers that I got upset when he “oh so gently” woke me up🙄🤪 but he won’t hold it against me. He won’t bring it up in 6 months and say, “remember when?..” I love this child’s pure, unconditional love. He loves me before I brush my teeth, when I’m tired and cranky, when I’m rushing him to get out the door— like every step because he’s soooooo slow, and when I’m short with him because I can’t answer the same question 300 million times without getting frustrated. It doesn’t matter. Lennox loves me unconditionally. He has NO conditions to his love. That is something I am in awe of. That is something that inspires me. He inspires me. He makes me want to be a better mommy, a better wife, a better daughter, a better person... Oh little one, thank you for guiding me along the way.🙏🏻 I love you so♥️♥️♥️ I’d love for your to share a story of your sweet little ones. Funny ones.
