Here are some of our favourite things to do in Halifax and the surrounding area:⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ❤️ Stroll along the Halifax Waterfront - a 4km seafront boardwalk where you’ll find yourself making lots of stops to browse boutique shops, watch the boats come and go from the harbour and have a quick nibble or sip at one of the many bars and restaurants.⁠⠀ 💙 Explore the Citadel Hill National Historic Site. Positioned atop a grassy slope, this star-shaped fort overlooks the city and is home to some fascinating historical exhibits including barracks, the guard’s room and the gunpowder magazines. ⁠⠀ 💛 Photograph the colourful houses in the North End, before enjoying some delicious, locally sourced, seasonal food in one of the popular restaurants in the neighbourhood.⁠⠀ 💚 Hop on a ferry over to McNabs Island for the day. Here, you can explore over 22km of hiking trails and take in the fresh air and epic forest and coastal landscapes.
