Do you trust yourself? I definitely did not trust myself when I was young. For years, I looked to everyone else EXCEPT MYSELF for a permission slip of “yes” and “no.” But that’s no surprise. This is what this society teaches us to do.

Learning to trust myself in all areas of my life is an ongoing practice. Developing my intuition and listening to my body’s sensations is an ongoing practice. My level of trust in myself is sufficient enough now where I am not a slave to external opinions.

But there are still days where doubt and fear clouds my mind. It is in those times that I remind myself to not immediately react, rather take a step back and listen to my inner voice.

Just as it takes time for you to trust in someone else, the trust for your own self will also take time. But that doesn’t mean it cannot be done. @innerphilosophy
