The smallest of the Old World monkeys, talapoin monkeys are a highly mobile species that range from Cameroon to Angola. In the wild, these primates live in large groups consisting of 70 to 100 individuals. Within these groups are a number of dominant, adult males who lead the group in daily movements and act as guards at night, keeping the group safe from potential threats.
