A year ago, my body, heart, and soul gave it’s all to bring my little Oliver into the world. This photo was from 7 months postpartum to 12 months postpartum (5 month difference). It wasn’t until I hit 10 months that I really started to focus on regaining back my strength, my fitness, and mental health. This is all so important for me to be a health and happy individual. Some days, I feel like shit. I feel down about myself, my body, and I look to those who snap back just like that and wonder what’s wrong with me. I am trying to be the strong athlete I once was. But then I think about how lucky I am to have our bodies. To be alive, with no ailments, and see how far I’ve actually come. EVERY mama has a different journey. Some take longer, some are quicker. Everyone’s goals are different. I believe the following had contributed to this. My sleep has returned. I’m not waking up struggling with my day, I’m waking up feeling empowered and inspired by life and my little Oliver. I also changed up my workout routine. Since the 10 month mark, three days per week I’ll do a mix of hill sprints with the pram and Olly inside, a 2-3 hour power walk while Olly naps, or a vinyasa flow. My diet hasn’t changed, apart that I’m eating more mindfully and drinking way more water. Most of all, my mindset has changed. I learned the more I focus on happiness and living in the moment and really listening to my body, the better I feel and in turn look. For those of you who have felt the same way, I want you to know you’re not in it alone. You are beautiful. You have given life (which half of the world cannot do, by the way!). You are alive. And we’re in this together. Xx #postpartumbody #mom #mum #motherhood #momlife #postpartumjourney」8月8日 5時42分 - biancamaycheah

7 months postpartum to 12 months

My postpartum journey has officially passed the one year mark.
