NATALIE LIAOさんのインスタグラム写真 - (NATALIE LIAOInstagram)「There is a story of a young girl who was once abandoned over and over. She had a lonely childhood and always played by herself. She would question why other kids didn’t want to play with her. At home, she felt like she didn’t belong either. Her parents were too busy to pay attention. Unknowingly, she would get herself in trouble because that was when they would pay attention to her. She grew up with a cold heart and became increasingly anti-social. She thought, instead of being left by other people, she would be the first one to leave. She built impenetrable walls around her. Relationships were hard for her to sustain. She became a selfish girl. Little did she know, she abandoned her own self as well. As she grew into an adult, her childhood wounds were still a driving force behind her actions and decisions. Over time, she realized that the resentment she held onto was only further burning her. So instead, she decided she needed to learn how to forgive. To learn how to love. She prayed on her knees for forgiveness and for guidance. She was heard and she was led. To become a person of light. To find herself. That little girl is me. And this is my story. I used to think how nice it would be if my painful memories could be erased from my mind so that I wouldn’t have to live with them. However, I’ve realized that these memories are the first place where healing begins. I used to have nightmares every night for many years because of the suppressed toxicity of my emotions and trauma. I lived in darkness. I romanticized this twisted sense of comfort in pain. I’m thankful, that I was able to find myself. And I will never again, let myself go.」8月1日 3時46分 - fongminliao
