Have you ever felt your freedom was in jeopardy? What is freedom to you? Slavery has existed for thousands of years. It hasn’t ended because we’ve taken the wrong approach. I know. Because I was faced with my own hypocrisy. I was fighting slavery when I, too, was a slaver. For years I kept my #INNERCHILD imprisoned, locked away inside myself. For me, freedom is being able to truly be myself. Freedom is no longer wanting to self-harm or end my own life. Freedom is being able to love and trust again after sexual assault, years of childhood sexual abuse and painful relationships that made the word “love” a very scary thing. Our mistake through the millennia has been our naive belief that we could clean up the outside but never look within.
