I should have been in the Maldives, Germany and India this summer but it’s all been cancelled because of lockdown and my heart is heavy at the thought of all of the beautiful experiences and memories I’d have made and people I would have met. But it doesn’t mean that we will miss out on the plans we’ve made just because the rules have changed. If anything this pandemic has been a test for us all, a test of human nature, goodwill and faith. It has weeded out those who are selfish, unkind and undeserving and identified those who are selfless, loving and worthy. We have been given the opportunity to see the true colours of those around us, to understand who and what they are as people and what is fundamentally most important to both them and ourselves. It has been make or break for a lot of people in love, work and health - you either sink or swim, sometimes life has to be brutally blunt. Covid has taught me so much about myself and what I need to be most happy; deepening my love for health and fitness, strengthening my cause to educate and inform others on the importance of a healthy immune system and opening my eyes to the people around me who have had ulterior motives to be in my life but have now thankfully been removed. The darkest of days will always make the brightest lights shine; be thankful for the lessons we learn and learn from the mistakes that are made along the way. Now we are blessed by a new beginning, fresh start, second chance and a healthier, happier perspective to wholeheartedly be the beautifully unique individuals that we are.
