I’m sure many of you know what Comic-Con and comic conventions are; I’ve personally attended these kinds of shows for nearly half of my life at this point, firstly as an aspiring art student, nowadays as an industry professional, but always as a fan. They are a ton of fun to attend and participate in, and so, with Comic-Con@Home approaching, I’d like to theme what I share with you all in celebration of comic book culture and the art of superheroes! I’ll be sharing various personal work that I’ve recently created using my toolbox of trusty Sakura products!⁠⠀ .⁠⠀ Most of the artwork that I create nowadays is done digitally, so whenever there’s an opportunity to return to a traditional method and use graphite, inks, paint, and paper, I find the process both therapeutic and a joy to revisit- very much like rewatching an older superhero movie. Today’s post features a drawing I did in celebration of Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3! I remember when it was revealed that Iron Man would have a new armor suit; I was so excited and thought his tech couldn’t get any crazier. I’m glad I was wrong!
