We switched to a darker pool liner this summer and I could not be happier with how it looks. A few people asked to see a before pic. Swipe left. The old liner came with the house. It was light blue and had a faux tile at the top. Last summer, it started ripping and needed to be replaced. Originally I wanted a flat dark gray liner, with no border, so that it looked more like a gunite pool, but I was told it would look more like a garbage bag. So, we found a dark spattered pattern with no border instead. It’s shades of gray but looks blue with water in the pool. I was so nervous to see the end result but I think it was the right call! A few people have asked me what I think about liners vs. gunite or tiled. Honestly, I think a gunite or tile looks nicer but it’s so much more expensive and not where we wanted to spend our money. As an added bonus, the kids love the liner because their toes and fingers don’t get scraped up! And the dark liner holds the heat much better than our light liner! Such a better swimming experience overall 💙
