Alex, my amazing husband and ultimate birth partner. I could not have done it without you by my side. Supporting and holding me through every wave. All of the shoulder rubs, belly tickles, showering me under the warm water, holding my hand, running to heat up packs, counting through the deep breaths to pass the waves with me, holding me in the bath to advocating for me when I couldn’t find the words and constantly cheering me on when I felt like I was failing or couldn’t go on.

This was one of the longest and most challenging days of my life, but together we did it!

Birth is an incredibly transformative journey from husband & wife to parents, and I am so grateful to experience it. Feelings of pain, failure, extreme exhaustion, but ultimately with the greatest gift at the end, our boy Bowie who we brought into the world together. A new life • it’s incredible 😭
