What normally is a very excited and loud announcement suddenly feels very scary to me. I know that I can be hopeful, excited, and terrified at the same time—and that’s how I’ve felt every day of this pregnancy. I know that saying goodbye to our baby at 21 weeks last fall changed me profoundly. I know that I’ll always hold my breath and maybe shed some tears at every single OB appointment until this baby is here safely. Sharing this news with you all now makes it that much more real; no more strategic angles to hide my growing bump. (maybe you noticed I’ve only been wearing dresses?) I’m happy to finally share the good news but also feeling more vulnerable than ever, so thanks for bearing with me as I ramble on. I’ll share a little more on the blog this week but for now—yep, we’re having a baby!
