The old adage says to balance fitted and volume and I agree—it’s pleasing to the eye. But you can wear volume on top and bottom and the current styles have been leaning into that the past few years. My tip is to choose wide leg style pants that are fitted in the waist so you aren’t totally overwhelmed. Also, I love a boxy sweater that’s cropped with a maxi skirt or wide leg jeans. So tell me, do you break this “rule?”
