The comedian Ziwe Fumudoh performs a kind of racial high-wire act on her Instagram Live show. The white guests get uncomfortable when she asks them how many Black friends they have, or when they fumble if they know who Marcus Garvey is.
But in an interview with @s_evangelina, @ziwef said the point of the show was not to chastise people who have been publicly canceled.
“Ultimately I’m not trying to make any of my guests look bad,” Ziwe said. “I’m just trying to start a really productive and healthy conversation that promotes healing with the trauma that is our racist history of this country.”
