Every year there is a 'Pantone Color of the Year' that appears in graphic design, fashion, makeup, interior design and more. For 2020 the color is 'Classic Blue' and earlier this year I set out to make an avant-garde beauty image that showcased my skills as well as this important trend. The photograph here was captured using just two strobes accompanied by the brilliant painterly work of my makeup artist. I shot at F11 and a close crop on the face with my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM so I could get a nice tight crop that captured all the intricate details of the makeup."
