I think there’s a common misconception in the media that if you have a large following online then you must crave attention and rely on the approval and admiration of others to be happy - I can’t speak for everybody in the public eye here but I can certainly speak for myself. I’m not in the public eye because I want to be “famous” I’m in the public eye because I’m normal girl just living a life that I love and others see that in me and want to know more and discover how they can do the same. I didn’t climb my mountains in life and overcome my struggles to gain followers, I climbed my mountains to find myself and others wanted to follow suit after seeing my success. The difference being that we can do things for status, power and gains or we can do things for self love, personal growth and true happiness; it’s your intentions that define which one it will be. I don’t show my body after having children to brag about how I look, I celebrate working out, eating well, exercising daily and feeling fit and healthy because it makes ME feel good everyday, and if me feeling good can inspire OTHERS to do the same then I see that as a wonderful thing. I don’t share love and positivity to people who clearly don’t deserve it because I expect love and positivity in return from them, I hope that sharing good karma will some day bring about change in people, that the hate and jealousy and greed of the world can gradually become eroded by the love and goodness that shines so brightly.
