I listen almost every night before bed and it's how I came to love and devour books by the authors N.K Jemisin, Nisi Shawl and Nnedi Okorafor. Along with author Octavia Butler, these writers have written stories and books that I return to over and over again. I'm talking about them more in my stories, but please be sure to check out their books below, and purchase them from a Black-owned bookstore (also in my stories) if you're able.
