Photo by @daisygilardini | During a visit to the emperor penguin colony at Snow Hill Island in Antarctica, I had the great opportunity to photograph these cute little chicks. Sometimes lying on your belly is not enough to achieve a certain low-angle perspective. For this reason, when I’m in the field, I’m always looking for depressions in the ground. Shooting from a low angle makes the subject look bigger, stronger, and more powerful. In this specific case, the three emperor penguin chicks were standing on a snowbank. By positioning myself right below the bank and shooting upward, even these little chicks look imposing.
