A lot of reasons but one of them is because people do not hold each other accountable or tell the truth to those they work with, love or know. We fear rocking the boat so we don’t say what we need today.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ As I drop the mic here and @sophiabush picks it back up, my call to action is that people commit themselves to being truthtellers, in whatever space they are in. Change comes in small acts that we do, consistently, not just in big moments, or with campaigns that go viral or when we have big platforms. We cannot watch the world burn and feel good because we didn’t personally light the match. What did we do to put out the fire?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ What I choose to do as much as I can is to use my voice to speak truths, and use my power and privilege with those I love and have access to.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I ask you to do the same.
